Adding stuff to the side
Its a good thing to have at least 3 mos. supply of food, meds and other stuff just in case..
Its better to have a years worth.. but baby steps I say..
I'm new to all this so as I learn I will pass on the info to you in post and in links on the side bar.
Also, I'm going to put a book recommending list on the side bar too... books that I have read and feel that are well worth the money!
Do enjoy!

What I've been doing this weekend!!
The top picture is of my dehydrator full of bits and pieces of apple ..drying nicely .. by Sunday morning I had a whole baggy full of apple goodness .. I'm going to use this for some granola I'm making this week.
The apples in the pan are being boiled down w/ sugar and pumpkin pie spices.. These are going to be used for a squash and apple casserole for next Sunday's Autumn Equinox get together I'm going too..
Sat. was also tomato day.. just a very small batch.. enough to make 4 bags of sauce for spaghetti and THE best tomato soup!!
The Roma's where sooooo pretty.. and taste as good as they looked :)
It seems Sundays are my baking day :) ..
I tried my hand at baking bagels.. and guess what? It worked!! I'm soooo proud ... they taste good..
Bagel are on our weekly menu from now on :) .. The freeze well too.
I can't believe how easy they are ..
I meant to post these last weekend.. but got busy...
The bread I made for my son.. I'm getting to be a pro! :)
Most of the stuff veggies and such where all from FM.. most of the cheese .. I'm just proud as punch with how my baking is coming along.. I know I know its a bread machine ... but today bread machine tomorrow a cobb oven out in the back yard :)
There's a loaf of French bread in the machine now.. the house smells like a bakery :)
A pot of veggie chicken soup on the stove simmering
Rice in the rice cooker to put in the soup to finish it up..
And lentils in my little crock pot to make lentil and curry salad for this weeks lunch..
Life is good :)
